This gave Bama fans a taste of the national championship year that was to come in 2009.  A beat down of domination over Auburn punctuated by the backup QB Greg McElroy lobbing a perfect pass to Marquis Maze.  Awesome stuff.  Auburn deserved it too!  We got to shove one finger in the air against our state rival and it set the stage for the real thing against Texas.   In my book, this is the best backup QB throw in Alabama history.  Some may know another one but this was awesome!
