Video: Mark Ingram Giving Back To Kids In New Orleans at Christmas
By
You love to see good people doing good things anytime of the year, but something about Christmas makes it even more special. Former Alabama running back/Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram is giving back to the kids in his new NFL hometown, New Orleans.
Mark calls his foundation "Shop with a Saint" and it deals with an issue that he knows very well, having an incarcerated parent.
Mark Ingram Foundation's "Shop with a Saint" event took place at Academy Sports + Outdoors in New Orleans on Dec. 6.
Ingram, Lance Moore, Cameron Jordan, Michael Lewis, Pierre Thomas, members of the Saintsations and team mascots Gumbo and Sir Saint took 28 kids on a shopping spree where each kid received a $100 gift card.
The kids also received dinner from Subway. Ingram's foundation helps children deal with the issues of having an incarcerated parent(s).
The most important thing was that the kids had the opportunity of a lifetime, and that the NFL stars took time to be with them. After all, Christmas is about kids and Christmas time can be a lonely time of the year for kids without a parent around.
Great job Mark!
