Tide BBQ’s The Hogs

It looks like the Crimson Tide (18-9,7-6) has found its swagger again in its 79-68 victory over Arkansas.

Bama overcame a hot Razorback team who at one point in the first half could do no wrong from the three-point line.

But then the Tide got hot going 6-8 from the three-point line in the first half taking a four-point lead at halftime all of this taking place after the injury to guard Trevor Lacey who at the time was the Tide's leading scorer with eight points; Lacey rolled his ankle no word yet on his condition.

At one point during the game, the Hogs were up by as many as 12 points with almost eight minutes to go in the first half before the Tide went on a 33-8 run to close out the half.

Rodney Cooper was the Tide's leading scorer with 17 points followed by Andrew Steele who added 15 points. Freshman Nick Jacobs who was out recently because of dental issues was
5-5 from the floor, had 14 points.

Although Arkansas was hot from the three-point line in the first half shooting 80 percent, the Tide defense shut them down in the second half; they were 0-6. With this victory Bama's has almost cemented its place in the NCAA Tournament.

A victory over Mississippi State Saturday at home would almost guarantee it. Tip-off for Saturday's contest will be 5pm on ESPN.
