It wasn't pretty to watch, but Alabama pulled out a victory in the end over a youthful Auburn squad, and it was a real grinder to watch. Nevertheless, it was a W in the win column. The score was 51-49 Alabama, as Alabama won its second victory of the season over their cross-state rival.

JaMychal Green scored on a tip-in with .3 seconds left to lift Alabama to a 51-49, come-from-behind victory over rival Auburn on Wednesday night.

Alabama completed the series sweep and has its best SEC record at this point since also starting out 11-2 during the 1986-87 season. The Tide has already clinched the Western Division title and entered the game tied atop the league standings with No. 13 Florida, which plays Georgia Thursday night.

Alabama needs to win out the season to stay in the hunt for an at-large bid from the NCAA. We can't afford to lose even one game, and it would be nice to win a couple in the SEC tournament for extra padding to the resume. Nevertheless, it was a good night to be a Bama fan!
