Alabama's Anthony Grant, today landed 7 ft 1 in basketball player from Sweden. His name is Carl Engstrom. He has reportedly only played basketball for only 14 months but he definitely has the physical tools to be a force in the SEC. He will be eligible to play this year. He selected Alabama over Alabama over Seton Hall, Georgia Tech, Baylor, and Florida State. He played recently on the U20 Swedish national team.

Here is a video of the Swedish big man who plans to roll with the Tide this fall. Unless you speak Swedish, then you wont understand it, but the translation says on this video that at this point in the video, he only had 5 months of experience playing basketball. Talk about a raw talent that can be molded. AG should be able to make this guy a star next year. It sounded like in one statement in the video that he liked Shaq, another 7 footer he most likely admires.

Anyway... From the video its pretty obvious that he can dunk easily. He even has a decent midrange shot 🙂
