Even though a few months ago former Alabama back-up quarterback Phillip Sims transferred to Virginia, he and starting quarterback AJ McCarron still chat with each other from time to time.

"Me and A.J., we have conversations every other week or text each other. He said I've helped him - don't ask me how - and I've learned some things from him along the way. Competing brought the best out in both of us."

That is so great to hear that there are no hard or bitter feelings between the two and that they remain friends even after Sims took off for UVA.

It's also amazing how both said they learned from each other and got better because of each other too. Nice to hear stories like this.
