AJ McCarron is a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award. The award is given to the nation's top player, Stanford's Andrew Luck won the award last year.

McCarron so far this season is has completed 122-of-177 passes for 1,684 yards and 18 touchdowns with no interceptions.

McCarron is also on the list for the Unitas Award and is being discuss as a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

Three finalists will be announced Nov. 19 and the award will be presented at the Home Depot ESPNU Award Show on Dec. 6
