For his performance this past weekend against Tennessee, Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper was name SEC Freshman of the Week.

Cooper had a season high 162 yards and two touchdowns against the Vols. According to the SEC,

Cooper leads the Tide in receiving yards (425), touchdown catches (5) and receptions (28).

Cooper’s 15.18 yards per catch this season is third among all freshman in the FBS (football bowl subdivision) inside of the NCAA.
