Reports: BCS Computers Have Tide Fifth
ByThe coaches’ poll and the AP poll may have Alabama as their unanimous No. 1, but the computers don’t seem to agree.
According to reports, the BCS computers have the Tide fifth behind Florida, Notre Dame, South Carolina, and West Virginia.
What’s probably hurting the Tide right now is schedule. Besides playing Michigan who was ranked at the time the Tide defeated them, there hasn’t been a ranked team since.
Also hurts that Arkansas, who was pre-season ranked No. 8, has had a horrible year.
What does this mean for the Tide in the upcoming BCS standings? Probably nothing since the human polls play a factor as well, the Tide will still end up No. 1 in the nation, but probably by a smaller margin.
