Former QB Simms Will Not Be Starting At Virginia
By
If former Alabama back-up quarterback Phillip Simms thought that he chances of being the starting quarterback at Virginia would be better, he was wrong.
It was announced today by UVA head coach Mike London that Simms will not be the starting qb, but that last year’s qb Michael Rocco will be the starter.
Rocco threw for over 2,000 yards and had 13 touchdowns. It was suggested by Simms former high school coach that he didn’t get a fair shake in Tuscaloosa and he’d be the starter at UVA; guess he was wrong.
Simms transferred to UVA earlier this year for what he said was “personal reasons.”
