Lacy Suffers Another Injury
By
Just when we thought Eddie Lacy was on his way back to being his reliable self, Lacy suffers another set back in his recovery.
The Tide running back suffered a sprain ankle and knee in Saturday’s scrimmage.
“Not a serious thing. Probably going to be day to day but probably be a little bit slow next week,” said coach Nick Saban.
“I think in five to six days he’ll probably be ready to go.”
Crimson Tide radio color analyst Phil Savage said on Birmingham radio today that if Lacy wasn’t ready to go, freshman running back TJ Yeldon in all likelihood is ready to step in if needed along with redshirt freshman Dee Hart.
Savage said he thought as with previous years with the Alabama running backs, that there would be a rotation among them to keep each back fresh.
When asked last week if he was 100 percent, Lacy didn’t really comment on the issue and now we understand why.
