Tide Offense Shines In First Scrimmage
ByAfter a two hour scrimmage Saturday afternoon, the Crimson Tide’s offense put up nice numbers Saturday in the team’s first scrimmage.
Quarterback AJ McCarron was 19-29 for 222 yards and zero touchdowns. Meanwhile, running back Eddie Lacy rushed for 57 yards on eight carries.
Nick Saban seemed to be pleased with his team’s progress.
“I thought we had a really good scrimmage out there today,” Saban said. “The goal of the scrimmage was to get a lot of young players opportunities so we could evaluate.”
“Obviously, for the young players, they’re going to be a bit behind, but if they do the other things, then they’re definitely worth continuing to try to develop and coach.”
