Fall Practice Begins For The Tide
ByThe Alabama Crimson Tide hit the practice field for the first time this fall yesterday.
Coach Nick Saban seemed to be pleased with is his team.
“It was great to get started today,” he said.
“I was really pleased with the team chemistry and attitude of this group of players that we have. We had very good summer offseason work.”
Although the Tide has several starters returning on offense and defense, Saban is anxious to see how his young players will respond and what impact they may have this season.
“We’re going to have a lot of young players and a lot of opportunities for those players to play and have a role on the team,” he said.
“How well they learn and mature as players is going to be the key to how quickly this team develops.”
The team will have 28 practices this fall both morning and afternoon sessions.
Tomorrow is fan day and will take place at Bryant-Denny Stadium from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Both players and coaches will be available for 45-minutes for autographs; gates open at 1:30 at gates 11 and 17.
