Tide Basketball Team Still Projected To Make NCAA Tournament

Despite three straight losses, Anthony Grant and his Crimson Tide basketball team is still projected to make the NCAA Tournament.

Bama is currently 25th in the RPI rankings and still has the 15th toughest schedule in the country. ESPN's Joe Lunardi has the Tide as a No. 8 seed in his latest bracketology projection.

Other basketball experts had Bama as a higher seed, but that was before losses to Vandy and Kentucky. What may have helped the Tide is their showing at No. 2 Kentucky over the weekend. Despite the loss, the Tide impressed by staying close to the Wildcats in a game which they almost won.

Now, the Tide needs to take advantage of their standing by going on the road and defeating South Carolina Wednesday and then coming home and beating an Arkansas team that defeated 19th ranked Michigan Saturday.
