Tide Tries to Bounce Back against Vandy
ByAfter a close loss to Mississippi State Saturday, the Tide will try to get back on track Thursday night against Vanderbilt. When they Tide faced the Commodores last year, they lost on a controversial call by the officials in the game which may have cost the Tide a victory.
The Dores have a 3-0 conference record coming into tomorrow night’s game and they always seem to give the Tide a hard time even though most of the games in the past including last year’s 81-77 loss, have been close.
In Vandy’s Saturday victory over Georgia, John Jenkins led a balanced Commodore attack with 18 points, with Jeffery Taylor adding 16 points, and Lance Goulbourne chipping in with 13 points.
Jenkins leads the SEC in scoring with a 19.8 ppg average ;the Tide will have to contain him if they expect to have any chance to win this game. Unlike Saturday, the Tide will also have to find a way to score from outside as well.
