Alabama Faces LSU in Men’s Basketball
ByThis may not be the rematch everyone was looking forward to, but it is LSU/Alabama but this time on the basketball court.
Like Alabama, LSU has gotten on a roll recently winning against Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Boise State and a HUGE win over Marquette. But they have had bad losses against Coastal Carolina and South Alabama.
Leading the Tigers is 6'11 junior center Justin Hamilton who averages 13.0 points and 7.5 rebounds.
Three young guards headline the LSU backcourt. 5'9" sophomore Andre Stringer, 5'10" freshman Anthony Hickey, and 6'6" sophomore Ralston Turner each averaging between 9.0-11.5 points/game from the field.
LSU is pretty good defensively and are ranked 19th in the country in total defense and third in the SEC, but offensively they are terrible ranking 182nd in the country and 10th in the SEC.
The Tide will need to take advantage of LSU's poor shooting by continuing to get good shots from the perimeter if they are to win this game because the inside game may be limited tonight because of LSU's size inside.
Tip-off tonight is 8 p.m. cst.
