Saban tells McCarron to Bring the Emotion Back
By
Everyone saw this past season how Nick Saban reacted when AJ McCarron scored a TD in the Florida game; if you read Saban's lips, you know what he said.
But according to McCarron, Nick Saban asked him to bring back his emotions after the Tide's loss to LSU.
"After the LSU game, we had another talk and he said, 'All right, I want you to play with your emotions again. He knows how I play the game," said McCarron.
"I've got to play with emotion, he said. "Last game, I just tried to stay calm the whole game. I think, in the end, I wasn't playing my game. After the Florida game, we had a talk and (Saban) was like, just slow your emotions down."
McCarron's teammates don't seem to mind that their quarterback plays witth emotions.
AJ's a passionate guy," said Barrett Jones. "That's what we love about him. He's fearless. He doesn't back down from big situations. For a young, first-year quarterback, I'm really impressed by him. You can see it in his eyes. He's a natural leader."
And Saban doesn't seem McCarron's emotions for the game as long as he keeps them in check.
"I think our team is very confident in AJ," Saban said. "He does have leadership qualities and he does affect other people with his positive energy and attitude."
