Alabama Snatches 5 Star Recruit From Auburn!
By
Alabama grabbed a commitment from the top 5-star commitment in the 2012 Auburn recruiting class. He is the stud running back, T.J. Yeldon from Daphne, Alabama. This bad boy dominated the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star game and walked away with the MVP award after churning up 116 yards and scoring 3 TDs. His senior season was also very dominating as he rushed 231 times for 2,196 yards and 32 touchdowns. The kids has a smooth gliding cut back running style that to me is very reminiscent of Bobby Humphrey.
TJ Yeldon said this.. "I have a lot of respect for Auburn, the coaches, and all of the people there, but at the end of the day I feel like the University of Alabama is the best situation and fit for me and my family. I am 100 percent confident with my final decision. I feel great about it and I'm excited to get started."
This comes after the recruiting grabs last year of Cyrus Kouandjio and Brent Calloway. You have to imagine the Auburn fans are crying fowl. Weeping & gnashing of teeth may well be heard from Toomer's corner as this news comes out. Auburn should never underestimate Nick Saban when it comes to recruiting. He simply goes out and gets the talent he needs & wants.
I am glad we got this recruit. I believe he will be a great addition to the star running back corp we already have.
This puts Alabama even closer to #1 Texas in Rivals recruiting rankings. Alabama is ranked #2 with 22 commitments. Texas has 25.
