Smart Has NOT Interviewed for Ole Miss Job

Despite numerous reports on the internet and out of Mississippi, Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart has not interviewed for the Ole Miss job according to a source close to Smart.

According to the Birmingham News, Smart has been on the recruiting trail with head coach Nick Saban this week.

One report out of Mississippi said Smart was scheduled to meet Tuesday in Tuscaloosa with the committee, co-chaired by former Ole Miss Quarterback Archie Manning and Mike Glenn, the executive vice president at FedEx. The report came from HeadtoHeadRadio.com, via Twitter.

Another report had Smart being named the coach of the Rebels by the end of the week, but so far as Nick Saban said in his press conference Monday, no one from Ole Miss has contacted him about Smart.
