Saban Talks Auburn, Injuries in Press Conference

Coach Saban Georgia Southern Press Conference
Nick Saban wasn’t exactly or willing to discuss much when it came to the BCS standings; his only concern is this Saturday.

“We really don't have any interest in any game other than what Alabama does in this game.” Saban continued to basically say he wouldn’t encourage his players to pay attention to the LSU-Arkansas but pop in an Auburn tape.

Saban praised Auburn and the Iron Bowl rivalry.

“This is one of the greatest rivalries in college football,” Saban said. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for Auburn and what they've done. The Tigers have improved as the season has progressed. They have been very sound on special teams.”

Saban also talked a lot of last year’s game.

“The first half went great. The second half went bad. The whole coaching staff is accountable.” said Saban.

He praised Auburn’s running back Michael Dyer calling him “a very good back and he's difficult to tackle.” He also praised Auburn’s defense, but didn’t have much to say about the Auburn offense other then he respected what they did overall.

In coach speak it’s yeah they suck but I can’t say that.

On the injury front, Barrett Jones, Jesse Williams, Darius Hanks, and Josh Chapman all were expected to practice on Monday.

Saban ended his press conference talking about Thanksgiving and what it means to him.

“It's an important time to give thanks, and think of the things people should be thankful for.”

Well said coach.
