It was bad enough that Cade Foster had a bad game Saturday, but according to several reports on Twitter Sunday, the Tide kicker had to close down his Facebook account because of all the negative notes on his page.

Come on people, harassing a kid because of a football game? Most people should know better, but apparently some fans take their love of football too far.

There were even other Tide players who came out on their Twitter accounts defending Foster and the Tide players for their loss Saturday night. Bama punter Cody Mandell was one of those players.

“If you are a fan bashing Cade or Shelley shame on you,” he tweeted on Sunday. “Win as a team, (lose) as a team.”

Foster is not the first Tide player to be harassed by fans. Tide recruit Brent Calloway was harassed by Auburn fans after he chose the Tide over the Tigers. Calloway had to go through it again after he was arrested for marijuana possession.

Coach Saban summed up the situation best when he basically said this was a team loss and all the blame should not be placed on the kickers.
