Coach Saban had his game face on already for the Arkansas game when speaking to the press today.

Saban started off by of course being very complimentary of Arkansas and Bobby Petrino.

“Arkansas has a great football team,” Saban said.“Bobby Petrino has done a great job. “This could be the best Arkansas team we've faced.”

Saban was asked about the running game as well and why certain plays work and why others didn’t. He said those are the same running plays that lose five yards that when block correctly, work.

No news on Duron Carter yet; there might be something coming out this week, but the coach didn’t indicate that he knew that for sure to the press.

On Dre Kirkpatrick’s comment after Saturday’s came that he will be “crunked” for this week’s game, Saban said this:

“At least I know what the players are expecting.” Actually, the exchange at the press conference was pretty funny because the coach didn’t know if he was using the term correctly or not.

Saban also mentioned as we did Saturday, that Robert Lester has back spasms and Dee Milliner is out sick, but he expects both to be back for Saturday’s game.
