Former Alabama and Auburn Players Coming Together for Tornado Benefit
ByWith the upcoming season fast approaching, it is important not to forget for tornado victims in Alabama. In the spirit of that thought, former Alabama and Auburn players are coming together to raise funds for those who were impacted by last spring's tornado outbreak.
On August 13 in Hoover Alabama, there will be the HeartinDixie Alumni Day Flag Football Game. Other activities will include a pro-am golf event.
Although the roster hasn't been set yet, a number of famous Alabama and Auburn players are already set to join in on the festivities. You'll see famous players from Alabama including Cornelius Bennett, Lee Roy Jordan, Bobby Humphrey, as well as former coaches Gene Stallings and Ray Perkins. Some of the notable Auburn participants will be Stan White, Bo Jackson, Al Del Greco as well as former coach Pat Dye.
This event should be great fun for both sides and is a great opportunity to raise money for tornado victims!
I still hope Alabama wins! Even if they are geezers now!!! LOL
