Unfortunately, its not the 2nd straight national championship bowl game that Alabama will be playing, however they will be playing on New Year's Day verses a very good one-loss Michigan State team.

Obviously, this game will mean something to Coach Nick Saban since he previously coached at Michigan State.

I believe Alabama will handily win the game over the Spartans. The level of competition is way much higher in the SEC than the Big 10. Besides, that Michigan State has been squeaking-by in most of their games. Bama's defense will be too much for Michigan State.

This game should be some good national exposure for the Alabama program to help with recruiting, however I, like most Alabama fans, would have preferred to play in Glendale. Oh well, there is always next year.

Making no excuses, but Alabama's team this year was one of the youngest in the nation. I would expect there to be an improvement over this year's 3 loss team. The Tide will be riding high once again next year.
